Note
For all TESOL courses:
It is highly recommended that TESOL students bring a laptop to complete their coursework. Students equipped with only a tablet may find it challenging.
For all TESOL with practicum courses:
Practicum students should bring at least three business-casual outfits to wear during their practicum placements.
For TESOL for children with practicum courses:
Working with children under 18 years of age in Canada requires a police information check, which will be completed after students arrive in Canada. Instructors will help practicum students obtain this credential once the program starts. However, practicum students should be aware that there is a police information check fee of $75–100, depending on the city of residence.
TESOL for Teens & Adults is a comprehensive 4-week program that enhances the core skills and knowledge gained in TESOL. It revisits and deepens topics such as listening, speaking, reading, writing, lexis, phonology, and grammar through extended practice.
The program also delves into experiential, hands-on, and discovery learning styles, and explores content-based instruction, including a science-fair prep module. It addresses classroom management tailored to teenage and adult learners. Additionally, the course includes a Cambridge TKT (Teacher Knowledge Test) component, equipping graduates with the confidence and readiness to take the exam.
