For all TESOL courses:
It is highly recommended that TESOL students bring a laptop to complete their coursework. Students equipped with only a tablet may find it challenging.
For all TESOL with practicum courses:
Practicum students should bring at least three business-casual outfits to wear during their practicum placements.

Graduates will possess the ability to craft professional lesson plans, effectively deliver ESL lessons at various levels, provide clear instructions, offer constructive feedback, and manage classrooms efficiently. The program ensures a comprehensive teaching ability, covering all aspects of language education. Post-graduation, career paths include roles as educators in private language colleges, as online English teachers, or as English tutors.
Enhance your practical knowledge through our optional onsite studies and practicum, allowing you to apply TESOL concepts in a real-world setting under the guidance of experienced professionals. This hands-on experience is integral to solidifying your learning.

Requirements for Program Admission
Applicants must provide the following:
1-Proof of valid medical insurance.
2-Proof of proficiency in the language of instruction (English):
(A) Evidence that three years of full-time secondary (Grades 8–12) or post-secondary education were completed in English in a country where English is one of the principal languages. Language courses cannot be included in this calculation.
(B) Evidence of achievement in ONE of the following recognized standardized language tests/assessments:

TOEFL IBT©: 59
CLB PT©: L6, S6, R5, W5
CELPIP©: L6, S6, R5, W5
CAEL©: 40
Duolingo©: 95*
(L=Listening, S=Speaking, R=Reading, W=Writing)
(C) Evidence of graduation from a language program with an established pathway/articulation agreement that allows direct entry (no further testing required) into a diploma or degree program at a public institution in Canada OR successful completion of four weeks of SSLC’s English for Post-Secondary Education (EPE) pathway certificate program.*
(Pending regulatory approval)
(D) Evidence of meeting a language standard defined and accepted by a third-party regulator or program funder.
3-Prior Education:
(A) A secondary school diploma (Grade 12),
(B) Mature student status**,
(C) Completion of an undergraduate degree, OR
(D) Be 18 years or older on the program start date.
Mature student status may be granted to applicants over 19 years old who have not completed secondary school or its equivalent. Applicants will be considered for admission based on the skills and experience they have acquired since leaving school.
Applicants must provide:
The most recent transcripts or proof of academic accomplishments,
A resume or summary of professional accomplishments, and
Two letters of recommendation from both current and previous employers.
The applicant may also be interviewed by the Admissions or Academic Office to further assess their suitability for admission to the program of study.
Note: If an applicant fails to meet the minimum requirements, these requirements cannot be waived by either the institution or the applicant.
From Foundation to Fluency:

01.
Week 1
Begins with orientation and teacher communication techniques, including methods like icebreakers, gestures, accuracy, and fluency. It also covers elicitation, question types, and approaches to learning.
02.
Week 2
Emphasizes vocabulary teaching, including what and how to teach, definitions, collocations, and lesson planning. The week also introduces visual aids like board work and flashcards, and includes the first exam.
03.
Week 3
Focuses on speaking skills, oral error correction, grammar teaching methods, and lesson planning. It covers in-depth grammar topics and speaking activities like debates and role plays.
04.
Week 4
Centers on writing skills, pronunciation, and wraps up with assessments and graduation. It also includes the second exam and covers grammar micro-teaching. Each week builds upon the previous, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of TESOL principles and practices.
