Vancouver International College

We are hiring on-call instructors with experience in business management, marketing, economics, digital marketing, customer service, and/or hospitality and tourism, on an as-needed basis for vacation coverage and sick/wellness days. Morning Schedule is generally 8:30-2:30 OR 9:00-1:00, Mon-Fri. Evening Schedule is generally 5:30-9:30 Mon-Fri, with some days being taught online.

We are also hiring on-call instructors with experience in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) teacher training, on an as-needed basis for vacation coverage and/or sick/wellness days. Schedule is generally 9:00-3:30 Monday-Thursday, 9:00-2:30 Fridays. Teaching may be on-campus or online.

We are looking to build our on-call list with teachers who are knowledgeable, passionate about teaching, and have an individualized approach to working with international students. Gain experience teaching at a long-standing career college and meet students from around the world! Interested candidates may also be considered for longer-term positions.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• 2+ years experience in the subject field (e.g. business, customer service)
• 2+ years teaching experience, preferably with international students
• For TESOL: a completed TESL/TESOL certificate recognized by TESL Canada
• University degree
• Previous online teaching experience using Zoom Platform is an asset
